Inclination measurement of press machine sliding surface

Using laser sensors while changing molding dies, the set up time can be shortened creating a more efficient operation.

The challenge

It can be very time-consuming to adjust the slide when the molding die needs to be changed.

The solution

With a laser displacement sensor the inclination on the sliding surface is measured by unbalanced load.

The 4 sensor heads are placed respectively on the four corners of the molding die and calculate the flatness. Furthermore 4 controllers and one multi-controller are used for this application

Added value

With this solution it is possible to shorten the slide adjustment time and to improve production efficiency.
